The heart of the social housing mission has remained the same since the industry began- ensuring no one has to go without the dignity of a safe, stable home. Unfortunately, the UK today has seen rising levels of homelessness for years on end, with financial pressure and housebuilding constraints reaching a boiling point of widespread temporary accommodation use and rough sleeping. Despite this, countless organisations remain steadfast in their mission to bring homelessness in the UK to an end, and this award is in recognition of those making the biggest difference to those who need it most.
Nominees should show evidence of:

Knowledge and awareness of the common issues surrounding homelessness and the necessary support (Alcohol/drug issues, support in finding a career etc.)

Lasting impact on those receiving support (how many individuals were still engaging with support after initial contact? What lasting impact did the project have on it’s users?)

A holistic and human approach to the wellbeing of those engaged with the project

Strategic thinking and long-term planning into how best to help those experiencing homelessness progress towards a stable life.
